Freedom & Flow: Twenty-One Day Challenge
Happy New Year, family! Welcome back to lovemaaden.com, and to our annual New Year fast and challenge (beginning January 6). This year’s theme is Freedom & Flow, and this is your invitation to start the year with intention in community with us.
This three-week fast and challenge was created to align our hearts, minds, and spirits with God’s purpose and peace, guided by a daily passage, prayer, prompt, and practice.
Our community fasts have served as an intentional way to step into each year. In 2023, Release & Renewal encouraged us to let go of burdens and step into God’s renewing grace. In 2024, Be Still & Know invited us to trust in God’s stillness and sovereignty. Now, in 2025, Freedom & Flow calls us to continue our shared journey, finding freedom from busyness and distractions, and inviting ease and flow into our lives.
What to Expect
Each day, beginning January 6, a new post will guide us through:
A Passage: Scripture to ground the day.
A Prayer: A reflection to align our hearts with God.
A Prompt: Journal or meditate on a thought-provoking question.
A Practice: A meaningful action to live out your faith that day.
You can fast in any way that feels most meaningful to you—whether it’s giving up a food, a habit, or a distraction. This journey is about surrendering to God’s will, creating space for His Word, and trusting His wisdom.
