Day 3: Release | Freedom & Flow 2025
I’m reminded today, as I meditate on release, that there are things not just from last year, but from my past in general, that I’m ready to let go of. The pull of negative thought patterns, the weight of too much self-reliance, and the pressure to please others are burdens that I no longer want to carry. I believe that God is calling me, during this fast, to lay them down and trust that He will replace what I release with something better and higher, just as His word says in Isaiah 55:8-9.
We all carry burdens, not just me. Some struggle with unmet expectations, others wrestle with doubts about the future, or replay hurts from the past. Some experience all of these at once. Today, let’s challenge ourselves, and one another, to release those burdens to God, trusting that He will not only relieve us but also release us into the freedom and flow we find in fully trusting Him.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” That verse is so deep, and so good. God carries because He cares. Whew. Take a moment to sit with that truth, then reflect on what burdens you're carrying that you can release and replace with God’s care. Then, let it go.
